K1 Class Training Events

The Class Association seeks to run a number of K1 specific training events during the season.

The format of these events can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the participants but will generally include:

  • An onshore chat about boat set up around a K1 with a strong emphasis on what and why the boat is set up in a certain way.

  • An on the water coaching session looking at specific manoeuvres e.g.gybing, sail setting, trim and gems in the form of tips and advice.

  • Then back in the clubhouse to review video and drone footage to reinforce the learning points and get you ready for your next race to put all this new found knowledge into practice.

The training at the Ovington Multi Class event in October is likely to be conducted by a top UK coach.
